Chronic Pain Support Group
The Chronic Pain Support Group of Southern Maine is a support group for people with chronic pain in the York County, Maine area.
They meet twice a month to discuss the challenges of living with chronic pain, offer support to each other, and hear updates on research and therapies from physicians and other professionals in the area.
Their mission is to provide a safe place where people with chronic pain can support one another, develop friendships, share ideas and thoughts, obtain information about their condition from professionals and each other, and learn coping skills in a nonjudgmental and caring atmosphere.
The meetings are free and open to anyone living with chronic pain. They meet at Pinewood Manor in Ocean Pines, Ocean Park, Maine, on the first and third Thursday of the month. Directions to the meeting places may be found by following this link. The group does not meet during the summer months.
They are a member of the American Chronic Pain Association and are sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation Northern and Southern New England Chapter.
