Resources for Aging Loved Ones
As loved ones age, worries on their safety while they’re home alone become paramount. Christine Bougie, Manager, Goodall Edlercare Services Department will discuss Goodall Hospital services that can help, including: GoodAlert, which provides instant 24/7 access to help with a press of a button; and Adult Day Service, a program for individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Thinking of Having a Hip or Knee Replacement?
Thinking about hip/knee replacement but aren’t sure what the surgery entails? Goodall’s Maine Joint Replacement Center orthopedic surgeon Dr. Frank Goudreau, along with a Pre-Admission Testing Nurse, members of the Anesthesia Team and Rehabilitation Services, an OR Nurse Manager, and a patient who has gone through the process and surgery, will share information on:
- Pre-op & medical clearance process
- Total joint replacement procedure and anatomy
- Anesthesia choices and recommendations
- How to prepare for surgery
- Physical and occupational therapy after surgery
- Resources available
